dc.description.abstract In this dissertation the aim is to develop outcomes-based guidelines for Northern Sotho first language teaching, in the Senior Phase. This main aim can be further divided into two objectives which should be initially accomplished in order to reach the main aims: Firstly, guidelines for first language teaching need to be developed. Secondly, guidelines for teaching according to an outcomes-based approach need to be developed. en_US
